Godwin Wangong’u is the Senior Partner of the Firm.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) degree from University of Nairobi and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.Godwin is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Commissioner for Oaths, a Notary Public and a member of the Law Society of Kenya. He is also a certified Governance Auditor, a certified member of the Institute of Certified  Secretaries of Kenya and  a Patent and Trademark Agent.

  • Provision of legal services in the establishment of a liquidity facility by the Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company(KMRC) whose value is USD $ 274,000,000 and the issue of its debut Bond.
  • Provision of legal advisory services to Kenya Mortgage Refinance Company(KMRC), which provides long term funding to primary mortgage lenders (Banks, Microfinance Banks & Saccos) for onward lending to individuals seeking to acquire affordable homes.
  • Leading the legal team representing Thika Way investments Limited in the development of a biogas plant in Homabay County in Kenya under the Government’s Feed in Tariff (“FiT”) ,with the value of the project being USD$ 54,000,000.
  • Provision of legal services in the issue of a public corporate bond of USD$ 50 Million, to be listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange by CIC Insurance Group PLC.
  • Provision of legal services in a bond and rights issue for NIC Bank (now NCBA Bank Kenya PLC) which shares were then listed in the Nairobi Securities Exchange.
  • Provision of legal services to the African Development Bank Group in the structuring of Asset-backed debt securities by Kenya Electricity Generation Company PLC (KENGEN)
  • Provision of legal advisory services in a public-private partnership arising from a privately initiated investment proposal for the design, construction, financing, operation and maintenance of the Cable Car Facilities over the Likoni Channel in Mombasa County in Kenya with the transaction value being USD $ 50,000,000.
  • Provision of legal services in the structuring of asset-backed securities for Kenya Electricity Generating Company PLC whose value was USD$ 200,000.00.
  • Provision of legal services to Africa Integras Kenya LLC in the establishment of student hostels on the main campus of a large public university in Nairobi to accommodate a minimum of 10,000 students through private participation (PPP) on a Build Operation and Transfer (BOT) basis with the matter value being USD $ 50,000,000.
  • Provision of Legal services in the structuring of a joint venture between Clayworks Limited and Housing Finance through its subsidiary HFDI to develop a residential housing development comprising two and three bedroomed apartments, convenient commercial centres together with recreational spaces on a portion of the Land measuring approximately 23 acres with the value being USD $ 30,000,000
  • Provision of legal advisory services in the capital raising of one of the major banks in Kenya by way of investment by a private equity.
  • Provision of legal services in the setting up an Asset Backed Securities (“ABS”) structure for a Client, which will raise funds from the market by issuing ABS notes for the purpose of lending to the Project SPV.
